Royal Enfield Hunter 450

We received a ‘block-your-date’ invitation from Royal Enfield, which is likely for the upcoming Guerilla 450, which could be the name of the upcoming Hunter 450. The bike is likely to be launched in mid-July. Along with this, the upcoming roadster’s spy shots have also leaked online, providing us with the clearest images of the bike yet.

A new logo of Royal Enfield’s recently trademarked “Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450” had also surfaced online.  Moreover, a lot of touring-friendly accessories will also be available with the Royal Enfield Hunter 450. The Hunter 450 looks similar to the Royal Enfield Hunter 350. It gets a round headlight and a curvy fuel tank design with flat surfaces on either side, with the Royal Enfield badging to be also there on the production version. The rear section, with the integrated taillight and turn indicators, looks very similar to the Himalayan 450. The raised handlebar and the mid-set footpegs mean that the riding posture will be upright. It is expected to get the same round TFT instrument console found in the Himalayan 450. The upcoming Hunter will come equipped with a telescopic fork and monoshock suspension setup (with lower travel than the Himalayan 450) while braking duties will be taken care of by disc brakes at both ends. 

It will share the same 450cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine as the Himalayan 450, which makes 40PS and 40Nm, with the tuning expected to be different to suit the roadster’s characteristics. 

The Royal Enfield Hunter 450 is expected to be priced at around Rs 2.60 lakh (ex-showroom) and will be launched in July. It will rival the Triumph Speed 400, Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, Hero Mavrick 440, Harley-Davidson X440 and QJ Motor SRC 500.
